A modern farmhouse set in heart of the Southern Highlands
Nestled in the picturesque Southern Highlands, this beautifully renovated farmhouse in Bowral is a testament to timeless design and thoughtful styling. Our interior styling team worked closely with the homeowners to create a warm and inviting sanctuary that blends rustic charm with modern elegance.
The brief was to enhance the home’s natural surrounds with layered textures, a neutral palette, and a mix of old and new furnishings that would reflect the owners’ relaxed lifestyle. We styled the open-plan living spaces with soft, oversized sofas, layered throws, and handpicked ceramics to create cosy yet refined gathering areas.
In the dining room, a statement timber table was paired with classic cross-back chairs and ambient lighting to set the tone for long lunches and family dinners. Bedrooms were elevated with plush bedding in soft whites, greys, and muted greens, with the addition of antique-style side tables and elegant lighting for a restful, lived-in feel.
Throughout the home, we incorporated natural elements like jute, rattan, and linen to enhance the farmhouse aesthetic, while maintaining a clean, modern sensibility.
This project is a perfect example of how tailored interior styling can transform a home into a truly personal retreat.
